Preston liked the polar bears! We had saw them last, before we went to the gift shop and the one was very active. It kept jumping into the water and coming right up to the glass!

Just me...

Wow, it seems like things never slow down. But, I did get to spend a few relaxing days over the 4th of July holiday. That was nice.

The fire department has been staying pretty busy. Throughout the year, I keep track of how many incidents each firefighter responded to and the number of training sessions they have attended.

I just completed the statistics for January thru June. So far, I'm doing pretty good... I have responded to 42 of 66 incidents. That puts me in 3rd place, 6 incidents behind the leader, who I have a friendly competition with! As for the training sessions, I have made 14 of 14, which has me tied for 1st place with two others.

So, how has your summer been? I'm sure it has been about as busy as mine!

Happy Birthday Dallas!

I wanted to wish my nephew Dallas a Happy Belated 5th Birthday! I hope your day was as special as you are! He wanted to come up with mom and dad, but since it was his birthday and his party, he could not miss that! He did get to come the last time with them and the boys had a blast!
