A busy week . . .

It looks like we will stay pretty busy this week. But, then again, how is that any different than ever other week!

This evening was the first night of our church's spring revival. Bro. Harry Plank is the special speaker and he did a great job tonight! Hopefully, we can make it every night.

Until next time, keep smiling!!

Kids and computers

I couldn't help but grab the camera as I watched our three year old (Preston) navigating a game on the Barney website without much trouble. It is amazing how quickly kids can adapt to the technology found in our world today!

Do you want a mouse or a frog?

The other day in the car this is what I overheard.
Avery: I want a laptop with a mouse.
Preston: I want one with a frog.
Avery: Preston, they only come with mouses, not frogs.

Fire Training

Today, I spent part of the day at fire training. It was a live, controlled burn of a house that was no longer occupied. We performed six fire sets, with one or more crews going interior each time, and extinguishing the fire. I did not get to go interior, but was the pump operator for the attack engine.

Here is a picture of the house, once we set it the seventh time and let it go...

Preston's Birthday and the last few weeks

We went to Red Lobster for Preston's b-day. The guy is getting a lobster out for the boys to touch.

Avery touched it, but Preston was not that brave!

Then, we went to the children's museum. Here they are being the doctor or nurse.

Grammie is helping to build with the waffle blocks.

Then, it was back home for supper, cake, ice cream, and presents!

Preston, mommy's little pooh bear.

My mom and dad got to come up over President's Day. They brought my nephew, Dallas.

And last, but, not least. Carl got me these roses for Valentines.
